French toast

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf challah bread or brioche

  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 2 cups cream or half and half

  • ¹/₄ cup sugar

  • ¹/₄ cup brandy

  • 4 eggs

  • orange zest from 1 orange

  • 1 pinch salt

Directions

  • Make sure the bread is dry. If fresh, place in the oven for 20 minutes at low heat.

  • Blend everything but the bread with an immersion blender.

  • Soak bread for 20 minutes, flipping halfway.

  • Grill at 350ºF
